KaddieIQ's ball database grows to 325 tracked models in V10 refresh

Twenty-six new balls added, thirty-six manufacturers still covered end to end, and not a single model deleted from the record — a look at what's changed under the hood of the database behind KaddieIQFIT.

KaddieIQ has refreshed the ball database that powers KaddieIQFIT fitting recommendations, moving from the V6 edition to V10. The database now tracks 325 golf ball models from 36 manufacturers, up from 299 in V6 — a net gain of 26 models added in this cycle, with none removed outright. (Figures throughout exclude Titleist's Pro V1, Pro V1x and Pro V1x Left Dash RCT variants, which are launch-monitor-only SKUs not sold at retail and outside the scope of a consumer or pro-shop fitting comparison.)

What's new

Of the 26 additions, 20 are current-production models now available for fitting recommendations; the remaining 6 are limited-run promotional colourways — all from Callaway's Chrome Tour and Chrome Soft lines — that rank for comparison but sit outside standard retail availability. Nine manufacturers contributed new models this cycle: Callaway added seven (the current-release Superfast, plus six limited-run Chrome Tour/Chrome Soft colourways); Bridgestone and Volvik added five each — Bridgestone's Tour B X, XS, RX and RXS (2026) plus the Electron, and Volvik's Axia Hologram, Axia Lumina, Crystal Soft, Vimat and Vista 3 Prism 360; TaylorMade added the TP5 RORS and TP5x RORS; Vice Golf added the Vice Pro Air Tracer and Vice Pro Plus Tracer; Saintnine added the Extreme Soft Gold and U-Pro Tour; and Titleist, Maxfli and OnCore each added one model — the Pro V1 Left Dot, Straightfli Matte and VERO XP2 respectively.

Status changes — and nothing dropped

No model was deleted from the database in this refresh; every ball tracked in V6 is still present in V10. Five existing entries changed status, and the moves balance out almost exactly: the combined superseded-plus-retired count sits at 128 in both V6 and V10. Callaway's Supersoft Magna and TaylorMade's Kalea both moved from Current Release to Discontinued — the Supersoft Magna superseded by the Supersoft Max. Cut Golf's Cut Matte was reclassified from Retired to Discontinued, while Top Flite's Bomb and Gamer were corrected on reverification from Retired back to Current Release. Overall, 75 models remain Superseded, 53 are Retired or Discontinued, and Limited Run entries rose from 6 to 12 with the addition of Callaway's promotional colourways.

Current releases, brand by brand

Bridgestone (21 current releases), Titleist (18) and Volvik (16) lead the current-release count, followed by TaylorMade and Srixon on 15 each and Callaway on 12. At the other end, Nike Golf, Dunlop and Union Green remain fully tracked for historical and comparison purposes but currently have zero current-release models — all three brands have exited the retail ball market entirely.

In line with KaddieIQ's fitting principles, superseded and retired models still rank in comparisons inside KaddieIQFIT, but only a current-release ball can be returned as a top recommendation — the database exists to keep every fitting grounded in what a golfer can actually buy today, not a legacy line still sitting in a spreadsheet somewhere.
